It has been a summer of lots of ups and downs. Broken boiler, which seems to have miraculously healed itself after 2 months. Hooray!!! We will have heat this winter (I am actualising it....feeling the radiators heating up...Ouch! They're hot!). A skimmed bank account, which the bank reimbursed us. No one has been sick at all. Not even the dog.
I've heard people around me complain about the weather this summer, but I think it's been pretty fine. I've had 5 swims in the sea this year. Once I'm numb, I'm fine! I'm making up for lost time. I think I only had one swim last summer.
We've been camping three times this summer, although two trips were for only one night.
Last weekend we went camping at Silver Strand with our good friends Sally and Daren and their kids Harry and Daisy and my son's best friend Shane. We're going to go again in September, if we're lucky with the weather!

I'm tempted, but would I miss my good friend the hairdryer?
Fun! i love camping.
that's five swims more than i've had, it's STILL cold and foggy here.
such lovely summer weather! hard to imagine camping outside of the woods, though.
Mise-note, I'm wearing a cap!!!
Lori Ann- I love it too.
The sea temperatures are at their warmest in July and August obviously being the summer. Temperatures in July were 58 degrees. How warm is it there?
Laurie, of course I much prefer camping in the North woods state parks and bwca. Haven't portaged since I was 10 and I think it's time again!
At least there in the woods you can have a fire as long as you follow the regulations. Here's there's nothing but grass that would burn, but you can't have an open fire. What's camping without a fire anyway? It's not the same making s'mores on the barbecue!
its been excessively hot and humid here in southern ontario. i dont seem to mind much but then i have A/C hehe
been camping only once but for a whole week... in a small shack tho looks to me like your little clan had lots of fun!

Aden, I agree, I think we've had a marvelous summer! Even when it wasn't sunny it was pleasantly warm, wasn't it?
I've been promising the kids we'd camp at Silver Strand all summer but somehow it never happened. Having said that, September tends to be when we squeeze in the most beach days isn't it?
Looks lovely. C x
