We have been having some pretty fine weather until yesterday. Rain or shine, we all need a walk. We drove up to Glendalough, but the car park (the free one) was full and we just wanted to walk the dog. We drove back and took the big U-turn to drive up to the Glendasan Valley.
I think this rock looks like an ancient grindstone.
It was very drizzly and a bit chilly. Little Red Riding Hood didn't bring her rain coat because she didn't think we'd make her get out of the car for a walk. Although she is a great walker, she doesn't care for it.
The reward was to call into the pub in Macreddin Village. Little Red and Little Yellow Riding Hooded girls will walk for chips and coke!
Isn't this snug?
Who moves first, salt or pepper?

oh god your pubs are great. we were at glendalough a year ago--hiked in all kinds of weather, includiing what you had. the pub at the hotel became our second home.
Glendalough looks beautiful! And a pub like that would be awesome! I never went near Glendalough but the photo of your kids near the rocks reminds me of the Burren. (If I crop out the hills, I mean...)
